Christ Our Light Stewardship Impact Statement
As children of God, we are all blessed with unique talents. We call you to use your gifts to live as Christ commands by loving and serving God, Church, and our neighbors. We cultivate the joy of ministry and faith by making stewardship our daily way of life. With the help of the Holy Spirit, Christ’s light shines through us.
- We are all good at something. Use the talents that God has blessed you with and trust that your gifts add value, as many hands make light work.
- Foster the joy in ministry and faith by making things fun and exciting while knowing, loving and serving God, Church and our neighbors.
- As good stewards of time, talent and treasure, we will cultivate stewardship, finance, and property/management commissions.
- The Holy Spirit is within us. Find time each day to listen to His promptings and let his light burn bright by making us an example.
- Create a catalog of our family’s ministries and resource list that responds to our neighbors needs
- Enhance visibility through marketing and inviting people to stewardship
- Foster vocations to the priesthood, religious, married and single life

At one of the meetings, the subject was discerning the things I need from the things I want and realizing that it is a blessing to be able to be happy with less. Accountability for the use of our time, talent, and treasure is brought up often during the meetings... in agriculture the emphasis on yields, return on investment, return per man hour etc. while still very important, should be tempered by thinking as being a "Steward of the Soil", and taking care of the land for future generations.

Stewardship is in our heart. Good stewards know that they didn't earn their time, talents and treasures. These are truly gifts from a generous God who asks only that we be generous in return. As we experience the satisfaction that comes from sharing some portion of our time, talents, and treasures, we begin to hunger for more. The next steps of the stewardship journey will reveal itself in the people we meet, the situations we see, and the words we hear. We will begin to hear the soft, gentle call of God, asking us to respond.

Stewardship, to me, is a way of life. It begins with recognizing that everything I have is a gift from God and includes my time, my talents, and my treasures. Stewardship calls me to grow in my relationship with God and to be grateful for the gifts He has given me. It is my response to His call, paying those gifts forward by serving others with generosity and kindness and using what I've been given to serve God in my everyday life.

I am so grateful to be on this committee. I have learned that stewardship is not a checklist of things we should do but it is a way of living. Being aware of the needs around us and helping as we can is our grateful response to God for all that he has given us. It is being a true disciple of Christ. Our hope from this committee is that all parishioners will grow in their commitment to Christ and radiate Christ to others by sharing their gifts and embracing a life of stewardship.

Our stewardship is our decision as to how we live and manage our entire life. What we return to God through the Church is only a part of our stewardship. We are given by God the freedom to manage all of our time, abilities, and money. That process of management is called stewardship.
